This is me

Well, hello there friend and thank you so much for stopping by!

My name is Rachel Baskin – the dreamer behind the lens – and it’s my pleasure to meet you. It’s customary when you meet someone new to introduce yourself and to share a couple little fun facts about yourself.

So, in the name of being the well-mannered child that my mom worked hard to raise – I will go ahead and introduce myself.

So here goes…

First thing you need to know about me…if chocolate was a man, I would have married him! Friend, chocolate and I have an unbreakable bond – and believe me, I know that this bond is unbreakable because I have tried to break up with chocolate many times and let’s just say that I am finally at the point where I have decided to stop fighting my feelings. Chocolate and I are meant to be and I have finally decided to accept that truth! There’s not point in trying to deny that chocolate and I…we’re soul mates! And I am no fickle lover of chocolate – I love him in all his forms: dark chocolate; milk chocolate; white chocolate; chocolate with nuts or just plain, smooth chocolate…I love the stuff!

Okay, so I’m a little chocolate crazy…but that’s just who I am I guess #SorryNotSorry

Another thing to know about me: I am totally crazy about my beautiful family! My husband and our three children fill my life with so much! I am so blessed to have them and if I never had another bite of chocolate again, my life would lack no sweetness because of the richness and fullness that my family brings to me. I have found my soulmate in my husband and the joy that our children have brought into our lives makes everything else pale in comparison and I thank God everyday for the blessing that is my husband and our children!

We’re an adventurous kind of family – we love to hike; take spontaneous road trips and vacations; have BBQ’s that last all Summer long and explore the nature that surrounds us. Hubby and I are now officially outnumbered by the kids but sometimes, we can be like big kids ourselves so yeah, things can get pretty hilarious, pretty quickly – and I love it!

Rachel Baskin fun fact number three: I love to laugh! Nothing beats a good YouTube fail compilation or cats getting scarred by cucumbers (Youtube this now; thank me later in the comments below!)

There is a lot in life that can be either scary or challenging or painful. Life is hard; adulting is hard…so, whenever I can take a moment to sit back and enjoy a carefree moment with my loved ones that is filled with fun; joy and laughter, you best believe that I am all over that moment in a heartbeat!

And that my friend, is me. There is so much more that I would love to share with you – and over time, I will. But if there’s one last thing that I would like to share with you before ending this post, it’s that I look forward to one day working with you.
