When love and artistry intertwine, the result is pure magic — and Sunney and Tyson’s breathtaking destination wedding at La Casa Mirador in Kelowna, BC was nothing short of extraordinary. As an Okanagan wedding photographer and destination wedding photographer, it was a true privilege to document this unforgettable day filled with meaning, beauty, and heartfelt connection.
Heirloom Pearls & Meaningful Morning Moments
Set against the stunning June backdrop of the Okanagan Valley, Sunney and Tyson’s wedding was an elegant celebration of love, family, and timeless style. Sunney wore heirloom pearl jewelry passed down through generations — worn by her mother and grandmother — and carried her late grandfather's blue handkerchief as her "something blue." Once styled to perfection, the first look took place on the balcony of La Casa Mirador. Surrounded by the gorgeous Okanagan views, a beautiful and heartfelt moment was shared between Sunney, her father and her brothers. From the intricate pearl buttons on her gown to her Dubai-sourced shoes and pearl-adorned cake, every detail honored her family’s legacy with beauty and grace.

A Rain-Kissed Ceremony Filled with Heart
The ceremony took place at the Fintry campground — just minutes from La Casa Mirador. With a light rain falling as the ceremony began, the moment felt soft, intimate, and ethereal. The overcast sky gently diffused the light, creating a romantic glow that enveloped every vow and quiet smile. Their officiant, Alexandra O’Geil of Your Ceremony by Alex, brought a heartfelt, personal touch to the moment — made even more special by our shared friendship and work in the wedding industry.
Golden Light and Clifftop Portraits That Took Our Breath Away
As the sun broke through the clouds, a warm golden glow lit the lush surroundings — the perfect atmosphere for portraits. We took advantage of the cliffs near La Casa Mirador for sweeping, editorial couple photos that highlighted the natural beauty of the Okanagan and the elegance of the couple’s style. Their sage, white, and gold palette blended seamlessly with the landscape, making each portrait feel like a page from a magazine.

Returning to La Casa Mirador, guests were welcomed into a reception space that Sunney — being a wedding planner, had thoughtfully and intentionally curated herself — blending elegant simplicity with intentional touches. The pearl-adorned cake, candlelight, and laughter-filled toasts created a warm and joyful atmosphere. The entire evening felt like a celebration of family, legacy, and joy — and as I captured each moment, I knew this day would live on as a treasured memory.

I had the immense honor of photographing both Sunney and Tyson’s engagement session and their wedding day, and throughout, their deep love and unwavering joy were evident in every frame.
